Tiffany Mount, Esq.

A sixth generation Floridian with strong ties to Leon, Wakulla, and Gulf Counties, Tiffany Mount spent her formative years in Tallahassee, Florida.  She graduated from Florida A&M University (FAMU) High School in 1998 with honors, was recognized by the Southeastern  Region of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., for academics, and attended Florida A&M University on a Florida Bright Future's Scholarship and FAMU Presidential Special Scholarship.  At FAMU, Ms. Mount helped charter the Pre-Law Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.  She also participated in the English Literary Guild Club and worked in the FAMU Writing Center, where she was able to help provide critical tutoring support to students in need.  Ms. Mount received her Bachelor's Degree in English with a Minor in Education.

 

Ms. Mount continued her education at the FAMU College of Law in Orlando, Florida, where she was a member of the first inaugural class since the law school was reopened in 2002. While in law school, Ms. Mount helped charter the Black Law Student's Association (BLSA) at FAMU, served as secretary of the organization and as an alternate member of the BLSA Moot Court Team.  She has also served as a judge of the BLSA Moot Court Competition. Ms. Mount clerked both with the City of Orlando, Department of Legal Affairs and Police Department. She also served as a legal research assistant to the Assistant Dean of the FAMU College of Law, Ruth Witherspoon, and Law Professor Dennis Greene, and was inducted into Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International.  Placing great value on community service, Ms. Mount also participated as a mentor with underprivileged youth through the Orlando Police Department.

 

Upon earning her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2005, Ms. Mount went to work for the Agency for Workforce Innovation in Tallahassee as an Administrative Law Judge, presiding over unemployment and tax liability hearings.  In January 2007, she joined the nationally recognized Law Firm of Parks & Crump as an Associate Attorney, focusing on Personal Injury and Wrongful Death and lending support in several high profile cases.  She credits this association as helping her to garner invaluable professional experience.

 

Following her departure from Parks and Crump  Law Firm in 2010, Ms. Mount went to work for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) as an Assistant General Counsel.  While with DEO, she presided over all garnishment cases in Small Claims Court, attended court-mandated mediations to collect unemployment overpayments, conducted legal research on a variety of issues, and responded to departmental public records requests.  Ms. Mount left DEO to become a co-partner with the Law Offices of Bracy, Siplin, and Stallworth.  Currently, Ms. Mount is a sole practitioner at Mount Law, LLC where she  practices in the areas of Personal Injury, Unemployment, and Criminal Law. 

 

In addition to Ms. Mount’s legal accomplishments, she also serves as an Adjunct English Professor at Tallahassee Community College.
